New homes in Topsham would mean more choice in the housing market for local people. This proposal would also mean more jobs, both in construction and at the 64-bed care home.
We expect a care home of this size to create and sustain between 40 and 60 jobs.
It has been estimated by industry experts that each new home built creates or sustains two new jobs across a variety of sectors.
The proposed development is close to the centre of Topsham, and would bring new customers to the town’s shops, restaurants and other facilities.
With 35 per cent of the new homes we are proposing being affordable, we could help to take around 55 households off the growing housing waiting list.
