We have submitted a planning application to Exeter City Council for outline permission for a proposal for up to 155 new homes on the edge of Topsham. The application also includes a new 64-bed care home.
We intend to help provide new homes for both the open market and the affordable sector. Indeed, more than a third, 35 per cent, of the homes would be designated affordable.
Included in the plans is a proposal to divert traffic using Clyst Road away from the properties known as Highfield into the new development, and to turn the existing carriageway there into a cycle route and footpath, while maintaining the current access for residents, which we hope will be of benefit to existing householders.
There will also be new public open space and formal and informal play areas.
